What you’ll do:
Serve as an engineering technical resource in engineering areas such as generation, transmission, distribution, and safety.
Also serve as an engineering technical resource in engineering areas such as electrical, generation systems, or in specific aspects of statistical or production cost modeling.
Ability to assist in formulating research strategies and selecting and applying the appropriate analytical methods or computer models to provide high quality information to decision makers.
Prepare and present testimony in PSC hearings on associated issues on utility rates, services, construction, production and/or resources planning.
Performs depreciation studies or production cost modeling.
Assist in formulating research strategies and selecting and applying the appropriate analytical methods or computer models to provide high quality information to decision makers.
Coordinate technical aspects of rate cases before the Commission in the role of case coordinator, negotiate with utility representatives and interveners, and provide input and testify on issues as an expert witness.
Obtain a high level of both verbal and written communication skills and the ability to explain and interpret the results of complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Position may require occasional in- and out-of-state travel.

All you need for success:
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in engineering with the curriculum approved by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) and;
6 or more years of engineering experience, two years of experience in a regulatory, compliance, or utility environment preferred.
Graduate work in the specified educational areas may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required general experience.
PE in Missouri required.
Experience with spreadsheets and word processing is essential.
Other computer simulation and database experience is also preferred.
The ability to work well independently and in a team environment is required.
Previous engineering modeling experience is required.
Strong analytical, writing and interpersonal skills and personal computer experience is required.
