This Program and Project Supervisor position will work on the CPUC's Integrated Resource Planning (IRP) process. IRP is the CPUC's long-term electricity resource planning process for its jurisdictional load serving entities (LSEs). It also has a significant function for initiating procurement.
The Program and Project Supervisor for the IRP Planning, Modeling, and Need Determination section will oversee staff who:
Provide advisory support to Commission decision-makers on the IRP proceeding and related implementation efforts.
Manage analyses, including tracking and modeling resources development for California's electric system.
Continue to develop and refine the IRP planning processes.
Generally support electric resource planning activities for the state of California.
Job duties include supervision (hiring, assigning work, evaluating employee work products, employee evaluations, and training), organization (planning the work of the section, work prioritization, ensuring sufficient resources are available to achieve the section’s goals), policy development (utilizing staff to develop facts and analysis to justify short and long term policy changes), and communication (preparing and/or editing reports, briefing Administrative Law Judges, Commissioners, and division management, and making presentations internally and before other agencies or decisionmakers).
