The Chief Engineer manages, trains and directs the employees, resources and activities of the Commission's Engineering Division. This includes administering the statewide inspection, testing, investigation and evaluation of the facilities and operations of public utility companies under the Commission's jurisdiction. This position is the primary staff position at the Commission for assuring that services provided by public utility companies are adequate, prudently constructed and acquired, safe and reliable. This position provides professional, technical, regulatory, legislative and consumer communications advice and consultation to the Commission and the Staff as required.
