The Alaska Department of Law is recruiting for an attorney to represent the Regulatory Commission of Alaska (RCA). The attorney filling this position will act as counsel for the RCA. The RCA is charged with regulating public utilities in the State of Alaska. The attorney in this position will be assigned primarily to 1) assist in providing legal advice to the commission on all matters under its jurisdiction, both in public meetings and in adjudications; 2) review the commission's orders for compliance with legal requirements; 3) assist in defending RCA orders on appeal and representing the RCA in court as may be required; 4) assist and advise the RCA in drafting regulations and in completing the legal review of regulations adopted by the RCA; and 5) assist in drafting or monitoring legi
