While we are looking for a Telecom Regulatory Analyst with a minimum of three years of experience in Texas telecommunications regulatory compliance, we will consider candidates with less experience depending on other Regulatory Consultant (Austin, TX or other location in TX with some travel to Austin, TX)

We are expanding our team to help support our telecom, broadband, video/cable, satellite, and wireless clients in Texas and the southeast to comply with a host of federal and state rules and regulations and navigate the regulatory landscape when challenges arise.
Our ideal candidate is someone with a passion for connectivity, communications, and client service, working in a cross-matrixed and cross-functional environment. You will advise clients on compliance with the Public Utility Commission of Texas rules, including assessing regulations and their impact as well as assisting clients in filing required applications and waivers. You may also advise clients operating in other states with other state public service commission rules. Experience and knowledge of the wireline regulatory landscape in Texas is critical for this role.
The successful candidate will facilitate client compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. This requires managing client relationships through effective oral and written communications to obtain and deliver information in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree preferred but not required.
Minimum of three years’ professional experience in the telecommunications regulatory space with expertise handling matters before the Texas Public Utility Commission including various filing requirements and systems

This role has a minimum billable hours requirement.
Ideally, candidates will largely support Texas clients and be based out of Texas, but we will consider highly-qualified remote candidates.

About the Regulatory Affairs Department
The Regulatory Affairs Department provides regulatory, legislative, policy, and compliance counsel to JSI departments and JSI clients. Specifically, we provide services in three distinct areas: 1) federal compliance 2) federal advocacy and strategy and 3) state compliance and policy. With decades of staff expertise ranging from state public service commissions, the Federal Communications Commission, and in-house at communications companies, we advise clients, develop strategies, and implement projects for clients on a wide range of issues before both state and federal agencies and departments. We also partner with other JSI departments to identify, assess, and manage state and federal funding projects for clients.
