The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) is seeking a senior analyst for Energy Efficiency.
California’s Energy Efficiency landscape is changing as we regulate utilities to procure new, innovative, and effective energy efficiency programs for energy customers across residential, commercial, industrial, and agricultural sectors. CPUC’s current efforts to drive innovation and achieve cost effective energy savings include the requirement that, by 2023, 60 percent of the investor-owned utilities’ budgets be outsourced to third party entities to bring new and innovative program design into the portfolio.
This senior level analyst will lead from CPUC the Utilities’ solicitation of energy efficiency programs totaling to ~$200M.After two years of solicitations and achieving 40 percent of portfolio designed by third parties, the senior analyst will also evaluate the success of CPUC policies and how these can be leveraged or improved to ensure California has a robust, competitive, and equitable energy efficiency program solicitations process to reach and exceed savings goals, delivering greater energy efficiency and bill savings to California energy customers.
The position may be filled in Sacramento, San Francisco, or Los Angeles.
